Charleys Story

I grew up in a small town outside of Duluth, Minnesota.  A place where diversity was limited and standing out often meant being judged for being different. Even so, I always knew I wanted something beyond what was familiar to me. After graduating high school, I made the decision to move to Chicago and pursue my dream of building a career in the music industry.

That decision pushed me far outside of my comfort zone, but it taught me the value of taking risks and believing in myself.

Through hard work and determination, I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Business in just three years. Along the way, I gained hands-on experience through internships, leadership roles, and opportunities that helped shape the professional I am today.

In the fall of 2025, I took another leap and moved to Seoul, South Korea, to study abroad at Sogang University. For someone often described as the quiet and shy girl, boarding a plane alone and moving halfway across the world was one of the biggest challenges I had ever taken on. Over four months, I immersed myself in a new culture, built lasting friendships, and gained a new perspective on both life and the global music industry.

Music has always been more than a career goal for me.  It's what inspires me every day. Going to concerts is what I live for, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the connection between artists and their audiences. My goal is to be part of the team that makes that magic happen, whether that's in the recording studio, scouting and developing artists, planning a release strategy, or building a live show from the ground up. When I returned to Chicago, I came back with renewed confidence, a broader worldview, and an even stronger passion for helping artists bring their visions to life.
